Wichita, Kan. | April 1, 2026 – Yingling Aviation today announced the appointment of Gregg Fahrenbruch as Chief Executive Officer, effective in the third week of April, as part of a planned leadership transition designed to support the company’s continued growth and long-term strategic vision.
Yingling, an 80-year legacy full-service general aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), parts, and FBO platform headquartered at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport, is experiencing strong momentum across its core service lines and is positioning the business to respond to increasing market demand for its broad capabilities.
“Gregg is a highly accomplished aviation executive with a proven ability to scale complex operations and deliver exceptional results,” said Jon Nemo, Managing Partner at AE Industrial Partners. “We are confident his hands-on leadership will build on Yingling’s strong foundation and help guide the company through its next phase of growth. Gregg’s combination of entrepreneurial drive, operational experience and ability to build and scale businesses are what Yingling needs to help take the company to the next level and deliver even greater value to our customers.”
Fahrenbruch brings more than 15 years of experience building and leading high-performance aviation organizations. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Wheels Up, where he directed more than $1 billion in operations and oversaw a nationwide maintenance network.
Prior to that, as CEO of Mountain Aviation, he led the company through a period of rapid expansion, growing revenue nearly fivefold in his first five years, and establishing one of the industry’s leading fleets prior to its successful acquisition. Most recently, he served as Aviation Operations Manager at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, where he led a successful turnaround of the organization’s research aviation facility.
“I’m honored to join Yingling Aviation at such an important time,” said Fahrenbruch. “Yingling has an incredible team and an 80-year history of success that we’re building upon. I am a hangar-floor leader. I have also owned everything from Beechcraft King Airs to Gulfstreams, so I understand what our customers expect because I have been one. My first priority is getting to know this team, understanding their challenges, and making sure they have what they need to deliver world-class service. Yingling’s best days are ahead.”
Recent product development and partnership initiatives further underscore Yingling’s growth trajectory – accelerating a strategic programmatic approach in the mid-size to ultra long range extensive maintenance, component overhauls, paint, interior refurbishment, avionics and in-flight connectivity capabilities. Yingling is building on the core services honed over the last 80 years.
With a focus on continuous improvement and customer-centric solutions, Yingling will continue investing in its people, infrastructure, and technical capabilities to meet the evolving demands of business aviation.
